Ammarah U Iqbal, MD

Ammarah U Iqbal is a 3rd year Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellow at Yale New Haven Hospital. Her training began with undergrad and medical school at Boston University where she also completed her Masters in Public Health in Maternal and Child Health. She completed Pediatrics residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and worked as a community pediatric emergency physician prior to joining her current fellowship.


She has a special interest in improving care for kids in the community, both pre-hospital and in the community hospital. Her work involves using educational modalities such as simulation as well as quality improvement interventions to optimize pediatric care for kids regardless of where they present for care.
